What We Do

Pangea is an accelerator program and an investment platform that matches African startups with investors. We create an enabling environment, where African entrepreneurs can develop competence, access relevant networks and capital in order to reach their full potential.

We are looking for a Programs Associate to join our team.


You will:

  • Support the project lead in designated aspects of project delivery.

  • Recruitment of potential startups for different programs, and assisting in screening potential high potential startups and making recommendations.

  • Assist in developing an onboarding framework defining guiding criteria for selecting businesses targeted by Pangea according to business models, geography, the status of the business, needed due diligence papers, etc,

  • Help in the preparation and management of a funnel and selection process of startup businesses to be onboarded as accelerator participants by Pangea.

  • Assist in the development of business support and mentoring models defining the support offering from Pangea to enterprises.

  • Executes effective outreach strategies to recruit businesses by providing excellent coaching, consulting, and connections to support Pangea businesses grow in consultation with other key leadership team members for existing business as well as new businesses.

  • Manage relationships of key ecosystem players/stakeholders and investors identifying their role and value they will add to Pangea such as local and Pan Africa networks such as Afrilabs, ASSEK, etc.

  • Manage business support network teams in Africa, including business mentors and key contacts, organizations, and corporates that Pangea businesses may require to achieve expected growth milestones.

  • Provide one on one tracking and follow-up support for each business supported by the accelerator, by ensuring, 100% adoption and execution of business growth strategy by the startups through support and mentorship.

  • Develops and maintains startups database, prepares periodic reports, and maintains records of projects, progress, and the status of the accelerator.

  • Assist in identifying potential funding sources for the operation of the accelerator and expansion opportunities.


  • Entrepreneurial mindset and out of the box and critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrable skills in setting up structures for the running of programs with clear KPIs

  • Strong organizational and project management skills using tools such as notion or trello to track implementation of activities

  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills, a connector, with genuine interest in supporting the success of others.

  • Strong presentation and writing skills, ability to present ideas clearly through slides and documents.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Natural storyteller, always looking for new opportunities at the same time being highly focused, organized, driven, and results oriented.

  • Experience working with growing companies/enterprises would be a plus
