As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of business objectives among the company’s sales, marketing and business development professionals. Your duties include comparing current sales numbers to desired quotas, delegating sales and marketing tasks among team members and meeting with management to discuss their progress.


  • Build a sales strategy plan that aligns with the solutions that LAMA LOGISTICS LIMITED offers.

  • Developing sales strategies and accountability matrix for the sales team.

  • Provide deliverables to management on success and failures weekly, monthly, and quarterly.

  • High level feedback from clients regarding drilling solutions to their programs.

  • Monitor current clients’ performance and expectations with feedback to operations.

  • Developing presentations based on current performance to showcase for new clients.

  • Aligning solutions to meet market needs based on in-depth knowledge of customers, industry, and technology.

  • Gather market intel on our competition to understand opportunities for growth.

  • Maintain current client relationship and identifying areas for potential clients

  • Contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them

  • Develop new sales areas and improving sales through various methods

  • Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business

  • Collaborate with sales and design team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals

  • Train junior salespeople to improve sales goals and meet expectations

  • Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business development and account management as it relates to logistics, clearing and forwarding.

  • Outstanding ability to communicate and collaborate across diverse stakeholders with demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with employees, clients, and vendors.

  • Excellent in Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Excellent with statistical analysis and sales software.

  • Technical skills required to understand and propose solutions by focusing on client requirements.

  • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to communicate information that includes technical and non-technical to team members and clients in a clear and concise manner

  • Capacity to prioritize, organize and manage team activities in a timely and efficient manner.

  • In-depth understanding of clients’ needs and capable of providing high value-added solutions.

  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.

  • Understanding of fundamentals of budgets, costs control, financial reports.

  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated capacity to make a significant contribution to the company’s business success.
