Our client a Property Management Agency in Nairobi has a career opportunity for a highly talented, skilled and driven Accountant
The Accountant is expected to maintain records of financial transactions related to the property and to use best accounting practices accepted by the International Charter for Accountants.
Ensure proper records are maintained by reviewing accounts reconciliation and payment vouchers.
Prepare accounting documents, post transactions and generate relevant reports,
Collection of tenancy fees and commissions with reporting to management
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and posted correctly.
Maintain accurate records and databases of customer payments and property data,
Post customer payments by recording cash and cheques transactions and entering them into the general ledger or accounting software.
At least CPA Section 4 and a degree in a Business-related field is added advantage
2 years of experience in a similar role
Excellent knowledge of and experience in property management accounting and related financial procedures.
Experience in working with Accounting software i.e. QuickBooks
Conversant with Tax laws (VAT, instalment, PAYE, dividend etc)
Conversant with audit practices and requirements including passing audit journals and liaising with auditors on any audit queries
Experience with bookkeeping practices
